Wish List Wednesday

Wish List Wednesday

Wish List Wednesday by catherine-gumpman featuring a geometric necklace

Although I was able to order oodles of new goodies for my Stella & Dot Fall collection, I couldn't get everything I wanted. I did manage to pick up the Janice studs (in teal AND orange) and the Enlighten bracelet (which I told you a little about yesterday), I have not yet acquired the Fanella statement necklace or the Double clutch. (Buy yours at my current trunk show here!) But, if I had all these items, I'd wear them out with this perfect little dress from Lulus and these wedges from Target.

What do you think about the blues and pinks combination? I just can't get enough of it!

Wish List Wednesday

Time for another Wish List Wednesday -- and, as always, the total for all of these items is less than $100 -- for those of us on a serious budget.

That Stella & Dot Eden Ring is on sale now, and I love it! You should pick one up ASAP. I almost grabbed this dress from Old Navy this weekend at the outlets but let it go - but now it's 30% off online. As if I need another maxi dress in my closet... I've been searching for gold flatware to use with my wedding china (this is our pattern and it kills me to use silver flatware with it...) and these from Target would be perfect. (And a little easier to purchase than these from West Elm.)

And finally, JRTC (Joint Readiness Training Center - or a pre-deployment training) has my little family stressed out to the max. But a sweet Army related sign to hang up would help me keep it all in perspective. (Or a shirt that says "Because JRTC" which has become our little group's motto as of late.)

What's on your wishlist recently?

Stella & Dot Summer Style

The Stella & Dot fall line launches so soon (we were lucky to get access to the Silver Elodie - #1 and the Silver Cleopatra Studs -- #2 early!) but it's not too late to grab up some of your favorites going into the next launch. Here are some of my favorite items I plan to snatch up very soon!

Five on Friday

TGIF! I hope everyone has big plans for an exciting but relaxing weekend and is gearing up for the launch of Allie and I's photo challenge #oddsareiam! Here is what is on my radar going into this weekend.

1. Hail and Farewell - last night we had a Hail and Farewell - my first as an Army wife! A Hail and Farewell is a time to say goodbye to those transitioning into new assignments and hello to those joining the unit. Some companies coordinate outfits (last night, Whiskey company all wore their "Canadian Tuxedos" - or all denim outfits) but usually the guys are just happy to be in civilian clothes. I decided to obey the adage "it's better to be over-dressed than under-dressed" and below is my outfit.

2. Whiskey Distillery Tour and Tasting - we're heading up to the MB Rolland Distillery a few miles up the road tomorrow for a tasting and tour followed by dinner. Who doesn't love a good old fashioned double date?

3. Stella & Dot Show - It isn't too late to place your order for my fundraising Stella & Dot show. I'm donating 100% of my commission to my dear friend's trip to Mumbai, so please shop away! All orders begin processing immediately and ship directly to you. Let me know if you have any questions!

4. Juicing - I finally invested in a juicer this week (rather than inviting myself over to a friend's house to use and abuse hers...) and have been juicing like crazy! My favorites so far? In the morning I have apple, pear, lemon, celery, cucumber, and ginger. And my mid-afternoon pick me up is grapefruit, pear, and ginger. Yum! I'm hoping to pick up some fresh produce at the farmers market tomorrow to stock up for next week.

5. Packing, organizing, and moving! With our move-in day right around the corner, and us gone next weekend, I need to keep on with my packing and organizing. It's never the easiest task, and it's taking all of my motivation to keep from getting burnt out, so wish me luck!

I hope you all have a great weekend. Can't wait to see your #oddsareiam photos on Sunday!

Special Stella & Dot Show

I always knew that in the military, wives bond quickly. We have to - it seems our friendships are the most solid thing around - with our husbands schedules always uncertain and families often far away. Because of my work schedule, finding friends here was a slow process, but I met this lady at a Super Bowl Party, our husbands each got a platoon in the same company, and the rest is history.
Tori is easily the most selfless person I've ever met. Her and her husband foster animals for the local animal shelters, she's watched my fur baby and another friend's real life baby, and spends more time at her church than I think she does at her own house. And this summer, she's taking a trip to Mumbai to do more mission work.

To help her efforts, I am holding a Stella & Dot Trunk Show in May and donating ALL of my commission to her trip. Please consider shopping the trunk show here and contributing to her wonderful trip. All orders begin processing immediately - no waiting for the show to close - and these items make great Mother's Day and graduation presents!

Here are some of my favorite items for this summer:

1. Fiona Earrings - $39 - Earrings similar to this sell for closer to $55 by Kendra Scott, but these beauties are a bargain and go with everything. (I own this item and recommend it whole heartily!)
2. Tech Wallet - $59 - this wallet has slots inside for cards and cash, and a special pocket that fits an iPhone 5! Carry this wristlet this summer instead of a purse and have more fun! (I own this item and recommend it whole heartily!)
3. Maldives Necklace - $118 - this beautiful statement necklace is the perfect summer hue, and if you spend more than $50, you can get this beauty for 50% off!
4. Phone Case - $29 - this red Ikat silicon case is perfect for summer. And who doesn't need another iPhone case?
5. Coral Cay Earrings - $49 - The best part about these earrings? Wear all three layers, or detach the bottom two and wear just the top layer. The color goes with everything! (I own this item and recommend it whole heartily!)
6. Sardinia Bracelet - $98 - This item is a hot seller and flying off the shelves quickly. I'd order yours soon!

Again, the link to Tori's trunk show is here - please comment below or email with any questions!

Leggings

Working from home, I basically live in leggings. It's comfy for me (I usually end up sitting at my desk Indian style) but I can throw on a nice blouse and feel like I'm at the office. (I find that dressing up a little helps me focus more. Staying in my pjs usually tempts me to camp out on the couch, and my productivity plummets.)

I have more than 3 pairs of leggings, and most of them are from Old Navy or Target. I admit, I've worn them with Uggs when running errands, or I'll throw on an oxford. For work, I prefer to wear a blouse, like this one from Loft. Although some may think they're not very modest, but I think they're a great, versatile part of my wardrobe.

If you need a good laugh though, check out this video:

The good stuff starts around 0:50 - enjoy!

What is your opinion on leggings?
